Oh, What a Photo... and Video!

Well, some stuff from the MEA convention is being posted on Flickr and PhotoBucket by various folks. For example, here's a picture of my friend, Thom Gencarelli, MEA VP and convention co-coordinator:

And here's one from the opening of the convention:

This shot gives a pretty good overview of the stage that was set up for our plenary sessions:

And this one is a nice medium shot of the stage, taken during a breakout session:

Here's part of the registration and exhibition area, which was outdoors, covered in part by a tent:

Here's a couple of pictures from the receptions that were held each evening:

You can see me on the left in this one:

Here's a shot taken at our hotel, with Thom again, and Mary Ann Allison, Barry Liss in the checked shirt I think, and I believe that's the back of my head on the left:

And another from the hotel, including from right to left, the back of Casey Lum, David Holmes, Phil Marchand (in the sports jacket), and Phil Rose.

This picture is from the plenary session on the legacy of Neil Postman, with Thom, Casey Lum, Sue Barnes, Bob Albrecht, Fernando Gutiérrez, and Janet Sternberg's elbow.

And there's Thom and Phil Rose, waiting for another session to start:

Here's Octavio Islas, giving one of the featured presentations:

And some images of Tech's gorgeous campus:

Peter Fallon has also posted some pictures from our Awards Ceremony, including an image of the Award winners being applauded as a group:

And here's a couple of Peter receiving the Marshall McLuhan Award for best book from me, Thom, and Janet:

And now this, last but far from least, here's a YouTube video, taken from somewhere in the audience, of Governor Enrique Peña Nieto's welcome to the Media Ecology Association:

And, that's all for now, but I'm sure there'll be more to come.
