Born on a Blue Day

I just came across an extraordinary video clip that I had to post here. It's an interview by Diane Sawyer of Daniel Tammet, a high-functioning man with autism, and the author of the book Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Extraordinary Mind of an Autistic Savantin which he details the workings of his mind. Apparently, he's able to explain how his thought-processes work in such detail that researchers are considering this a major breakthrough. In addition to his savant skills, synesthesia is part of the mix (a phenomenon that McLuhan was especially interested in).
